Six Decades of Leadership in Synthetic Rubber

Copolymer's plant in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was one of the world's first commercial producers of synthetic rubber more than 60 years ago. Our longevity and ISO 9001 registration attest to the quality of our products and customer service, the character of our people and the durability of our values.

Copolymer pioneered the continuous, cold-rubber emulsion SBR process and introduced co-coagulated black masterbatch production. We became Lion Copolymer in 2005, and in 2007 we acquired the former Uniroyal Plant in Geismar, Louisiana, where we manufacture EPDM and chemical foaming agents.

Our Customer Applications Development Center (CADC) is undergoing extensive renovations designed to enhance our highly regarded customer technical support. Capabilities include formulation development, mixing, processing, vulcanization, accelerated aging, and a wide range of performance tests on new and existing recipes.
