Celogen® and Acticell®
Celogen® foaming agent products are used to make close cell expanded rubber and plastics. These organic foaming agents decompose to release predominately nitrogen gas. Decomposition temperature of the Celogen® product line spans a broad temperature range, which permits use in a wide variety of molded and extruded processes including athletic padding, flotation devices, thermal insulation tubing, automotive door seals and trunk lid seal, die cut gaskets and complex molded shapes.
Celogen® AZ azodicarbonamide is produced in a variety of particle size grades, which allows careful control of the rate of gas evolution by selection of the appropriate product grade. Activated Celogen® azodicarbonamide blends further lowers the decomposition temperature, which permits the use of this general-purpose foaming agent at milder curing conditions. Celogen® OT is a low temperature foaming agent whose decomposition temperature may be further reduced by the incorporation of Acticell® U into the formulation.
